Consultation - a successful result
Initial Consultation
The very first step to take in a website project is to define the end product. Questions should be asked like:
- What will this end product look like?
- What is its purpose?
- Will we sell products or a service?
- Do we wish to gather new business leads or promote a new product? or
- Maybe a goal is to offer simple access for customers to gather information and contact your organisation?
Focusing on information like this and leveraging from this point of understanding allows us to strategically meet goals with little error or delay.
Our first meeting aims to outline the best possible route for completing your project, this will include points such as design styles, the overall message to your clients and dedicated features and functions. We will also take a look at the best payment option for you, this could be one or more of the following:
- Working to budget
- Hourly rate
- Monthly subscription (service options)

Working to budget
When managing a website project, working to budget can be highly advantagous for both parties especially if the client is operating a start-up business. I would always recommend working to budget, this is by far the best option when a website is being createdTo find out more about costs, take alook at my current fee's page.
A word of caution; "quite frequently and unfortunately, some developers will assume the end product without understanding a client’s aspirations. This is a mistake and can be costly in the long term. In all cases, make sure your needs are acknowledged".
Some great examples of my work
Below are some examples of projects I have been involved with. These range from bespoke creations to sites where my services were required to repair and make good.
- Fine Images Print & Promotion
- New build; each page on this site was highly optimised for search engine utilisation by one our professional copy writers. Within 2 months, the website was hitting 1st and 2nd places for search phrases like "print services reading" or "stationary printing Reading"
- Printroom Group
- From poor design, their current site needed an overhaul and quick. This company was expanding at a fast pace so to keep up with demand, additional features were introduced. The Printroom Group now benefit from a website that can expand as they do.
